Keban Agung is owned by Priamanaya Energi. Due to its coal type and current Indonesian regulations, the Keban Agung plant will not require FGD and its flue gas exhaust temperature is 130 °C.

The owner chose for two slender 130 m high concrete chimneys, both directly lined internally with the Pennguard Block Lining System (New Chimney Design). The chimneys are economical to build and earthquake resistant.
