New Chimney Design 2.0 - Brick, steel, FRP flue vs Pennguard^TM lined concrete shell, detailed chimney designs

A group of German specialists designed and engineered a concrete chimney, protected directly by the Pennguard^TM Block Lining System, known as the New Chimney Design. This report compares detailed chimney designs with traditional concrete chimneys with brick, steel and FRP flue and the New Chimney Design.

The New Chimney Design has no internal flue, thereby reducing chimney construction cost, construction time and size. The New Chimney Design combines excellent reliability with low investment cost. It is especially suitable for operating conditions downstream of FGD plants.
