PENNGUARD Block Lining System

Flue gas ducts and chimneys in coal and oil fired power stations are subjected to highly corrosive conditions, especially when flue gas desulfurisation (FGD) is installed. The Pennguard Block Lining System consists of blocks of cellular borosilicate glass and offers reliable protection.

The special advantages of a Pennguard lining can be summarized as follows:

• An excellent corrosion barrier, with full resistance to sulfuric acid condensate, even at high temperatures and very high SO / SO concentrations.
• A robust lining system, with a thickness of 38 mm (1 1/2 inch) or more, yet also lightweight (ca.13 kg / m) and does not require any anchors.
• A lining system, which can be applied to steel, concrete and brick substrates, using uncomplicated installation procedures.
• A lining system, which is suitable for new construction projects and also offers unique options for economical, time saving modifications of existing chimneys.
